Arizona Charlie’s Boulder is Hosting “$1000 Rollover Blackjack Tournaments” on
Thursdays and Saturdays in March

March 10, 2009 – Las Vegas, Nev. – Through March 26, Arizona Charlie’s Boulder will be hosting “$1,000 Rollover Blackjack Tournaments” on Thursdays and Saturdays in place of its usual “Winners Rollover Purse” blackjack tournaments. There will be a guaranteed $1,000 in the Winner’s Rollover Purse on Thursdays and Saturdays through March 26. 

“In March, Arizona Charlie’s Boulder is offering outstanding value to blackjack tournament players. We took our successful ‘Winner’s Rollover Purse’ tournaments and added a guaranteed $1,000 ‘Winner’s Rollover Purse’ each night,” said John Schmutz, director of table games/ race & sports operations for Arizona Charlie’s Boulder.

The tournaments on each day are limited to 54 entries. Tournament registration will open at 5 p.m. on Thursday with the first turn of the card at 6 p.m.  Saturday registration begins at 3 p.m. with the first turn of the card at 4 p.m. The estimated time of tournament will be three hours. 

The tournaments are run in a three round format. In each tournament, Round I will be divided into three preliminary sessions. On Thursdays, Session 1 will take place at 6 p.m., Session 2 at 6:45 p.m. and Session 3 at 7:30 p.m. On Saturdays, Session 1 will take place at 4 p.m., Session 2 at 4:45 p.m. and Session 3 at 5:30 p.m. Round II will be the semi-final round. Round II will take place at 8 p.m. on Thursdays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Round III is the final round. Round III will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays and 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays.  

Each session (and final round) will consist of 20 hands. The top two players (the ones with the most chips) from each table in the qualifying rounds will advance to the semi-final round.  All tournament seats are based on availability. 

There will be a $25 buy-in.  Each buy-in receives $500 in tournament chips (non-negotiable chips).  At the table and before play begins, the player will have the opportunity to purchase an additional $200 in tournament chips for $2. Buy-ins and re-buys will be a on a first come, first served basis. Money prizes will be issued to the six finalists. Everyone at the finals table will walk away a winner:  First Place - 50% of the daily purse + “Winner’s Rollover Purse” (contingent on qualification); Second Place - 25% of the daily purse, and Third Place - 10% of the daily purse.  Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Place winners will receive 5% of the purse.

To qualify for the “Winner’s Rollover Purse” the daily tournament winner must meet certain criteria at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder: earn at least 250 points on slot or video poker machines (with no multipliers). Have rated table games play on any of the following: blackjack- $5 average for two hours of play; Pai Gow Poker or craps- $15 average for two hours of play; or roulette- $5 average for two hours of play.

Players can qualify for the “Winner’s Rollover Purse” on Thursdays from 6 p.m. Wednesdays to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Players can qualify for the “Winner’s Rollover Purse” on Saturdays from 4 p.m. on Fridays to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.

All tournament money collected from tournament buy-ins and re-buys will be distributed daily according to regular tournament rules. There will be a free entry drawing after each tournament.

Arizona Charlie’s Boulder to Add $1000 to “Winner’s Rollover Purse” for January 1 and January 3 Blackjack Tournaments

December 24, 2008-Las Vegas, Nev. – To ring in the New Year, Arizona Charlie’s Boulder will be adding $1000 to the “Winner’s Rollover Purse” for its blackjack tournaments scheduled for Thursday, January 1, 2009 and Saturday, January 3, 2009. 

“Our table games tournaments and the value they offer make Arizona Charlie’s Boulder the place for avid table games players,” said John Schmutz, director of table games for Arizona Charlie’s Boulder.

Criteria play must be played within 26 hours prior to the beginning of the final round.  If the winner of the daily purse does not qualify, $100 will roll over (be added) to the “Winner’s Rollover Purse” seven days from the completion of the respective tournament.  The maximum “Winner’s Rollover Purse” will be $1000.

Arizona Charlie’s Boulder Now Offers a $1 Craps and
a 24/7 50-Cent Roulette Game

December 24, 2008 – Las Vegas, Nev. – Arizona Charlie’s Boulder is creating table games value and generating excitement by offering $1 craps and a 50-cent roulette game available 24 hours a day.  

“We know that times are tough in Las Vegas so we have lowered the limits on craps and are offering a 50-cent roulette game 24/7. Arizona Charlie’s Boulder has added a whole new level of table games excitement on the Boulder Strip,” said John Schmutz, director of table games for Arizona Charlie’s Boulder.

The craps game at Arizona Charlie’s Boulder is now a $1 table. Players may now enjoy double odds on pass line wagers from $1 to $4 while taking advantage of 10-times odds on pass line wagers of $5 or more. Arizona Charlie’s Boulder accepts a $1 craps/eleven split and even a $1 horn bet. There is also a new and exciting addition to the table called the “Fire Bet”. The “Fire Bet” pays players based on how many different points the same shooter can make before a seven out.  Bets from $1 to $5 can be made on the shooter’s first come-out roll.   The real fun begins when a shooter makes his fourth point which pays 25 for 1; five points pays 250 for 1; and all six points rolled pays 1000 for 1.
