Golden Entertainment, Inc. Properties Donate More Than 2,600 Meals with 9th Annual ‘Feed A Family’ Initiatives

LAS VEGAS – (Jan. 12, 2021) – Golden Entertainment, Inc. donated a total of 2,608 holiday meals to ‘Feed A Family’ through the company’s 9th annual charitable initiative at Aquarius Casino Resort, Edgewater Casino Resort, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder. 

At Aquarius and Edgewater, ‘Feed A Family’ donations were accepted from Sunday, Nov. 1 through Friday, Dec. 25. For every 25,000 True Rewards points contributed or $25 donated, the properties donated one food box, sized to feed a family of four, which included a seven-pound ham or 12-pound turkey along with potatoes, gravy, vegetables, rolls, cranberry sauce, stuffing, pie and whipped cream. The Laughlin resorts raised $16,603 to feed more than 2,148 families in need.

“We are amazed by the generosity of people and organizations in our community who helped us and ‘Feed A Family’ provide thousands of meals to families for the holidays,” said Sean Hammond, senior vice president and general manager of Aquarius Casino Resort and Edgewater Casino Resort. “We love the tri-state area and we’re grateful that we were able to reciprocate that love to our local families and make their holidays a little brighter."

In addition to casino points and monetary donations, both Aquarius and Edgewater also hosted a Christmas tree silent auction to benefit ‘Feed A Family’ through Sunday, Dec. 20. With the Christmas tree action, the raised amount was $9,150, equating to more than 360 family meals. In total, through the Christmas Tree auction, cash donations and True Rewards points contributions, Golden Entertainment’s Laughlin resorts raised $25,753.

For every 12,000 points contributed by True Rewards members between Monday, Nov. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 13, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Boulder locations collectively donated a basket of food to the Southern Nevada Housing Authority.  Arizona Charlie’s donated a total of 100 baskets of food; 50 baskets gifted to families for Thanksgiving, and 50 for Christmas.
